New Website Launched for Waukegan Housing Authority

The Waukegan Housing Authority recently launched their new responsive, ADA Accessible website (www.WaukeganHousing.com) on October 14, 2025. The new website was created by Brooks Jeffrey Marketing, Inc. (www.BrooksJeffrey.com).

The new "responsive" website allows users to easily navigate the website, no matter what device is used (desktop, laptop, tablet, smartphone). 

To help make the new website more accessible for all users (including those using adaptive technology), it has been built using Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 to address the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessibility guidelines.

Some of the features/functions on the new website include: 

• Easy navigation to the most frequently accessed information, including Apply Online, Maintenance Request, Residents, Landlords, Housing, Procurement, Communities, and more.
• Search tool to help find the information you are looking for.
• Rotating homepage photos/messages and click-through links.
• Calendar & News homepage feeds of the most current dates and news.
• Calendar - complete interactive calendar that allows site visitors to add events to their personal calendars.
• News archive page
• Sticky bar footer with additional quick link access
• Landlord & Board Portals (under login) 
• Procurement module with vendor registration and login, including vendor notification when new solicitations in their industry are added.
• Communities - Find housing properties in your area by type of property
• Accessibility link for those with disabilities needing assistance to navigate the website.
• Translate feature allows the website to easily translate in many languages.
• Sign Up for News - Those interested in subscribing can sign up on the website to receive news 
  & can also (at any time) change their subscription or unsubscribe
• Publishing to subscribers via text/email - a great way to stay informed about things happening

All tenants, landlords and the general public are encouraged to visit the site. Website administrators will be able to publish important information including upcoming events, news and more. The new website will be updated continually, often weekly, with new information that will benefit all tenants, landlords and the public at large.
